You have multiple ways to “tour” the schools:
- Press play and allow the video tour to “walk” you through the building
- Click Explore 3D space and navigate by clicking on areas you want to see
- In the botton left hand corner, you can click the ‘dollhouse’ or floorplan and enter through by clicking on it
- Wear virtual glasses and press play (to view in VR, you must use the VR links in the VR Viewing section.
- Through any view mode, you can also click on the white circle and it will take you through the school
You have the ability to navigate the space multiple ways so feel free to play around with it. Using your arrow keys on your keyboard is also another option when you are in tour mode.

When navigating the virtual tour, look for colored info tags. Red tags are for entrances and exits. Gold tags are for building information or history, and Purple tags are used for room names.
To view Monticello School Virtual Tours using VR Viewing Glasses such as Google Cardboard, Oculus Quest or other viewers, please refer to the “Viewing with VR glasses” section below. Special links are required to experiance tours using VR viewers.

A fully immersive experience with VR Glasses
To view the virtual tours using VR glasses/viewers, special links are required. Please note, not all features are available in VR.
This section has all the information and links you need to view Monticello High School, Washington School, and Siever’s Center in Virtual Reality using VR glasses/viewers.

- Download and install the Matterport VR app from Apple’s App Store
- Return to “Links to view tours in VR” and click the tour link you want to view
- Hit the play button
- Tap the ellipses icon at the bottom right corner of the Showcase window
- Select the VR icon
- Tap the Google Cardboard icon to open the model in Matterport VR
- Horizontally orient your iPhone (with the volume buttons pointed at the floor), and place it into your VR glasses/viewer
- Once the app opens, the model will automatically begin downloading – wait for it to finish
- Anchor (look at) your selection circle at the open door icon
- You will need to keep your selection circle fixed on the icon until the yellow bar fills and turns green
- While inside Matterport VR, look in all directions to view the space
- Anchor your selection icon at the blue hotspots to move through the space
- You will need to anchor your selection circle on each blue hotspot until it becomes green.
- Have a look at your feet
- This will allow you to return to the main menu, or view the floors in the model.
- Download and install the latest version of Google Chrome for Android from the Google Play Store
- Return to “Links to view tours in VR” and click the tour link you want to view
- Hit the play button
- Tap the ellipses icon at the bottom right corner of the Showcase window
- Select the VR icon
- Tap the Google Cardboard icon to open the model in Matterport VR
